The TDF Flange Forming Machine roll-forms TDF flanges on duct sheet. Its roll forming line has 14 stations and turns 0.50–1.20 mm sheet into self-flanged air ducts with 20, 25, 30, 33 or 35 mm flanges. All five flange heights are standard, and the machine adjusts between them automatically. Dual tooling is included. One roller side forms the flange, the other side the connecting clips. A main drive with triple heavy-duty chains turns the rolls. At the exit, a straightening roll corrects vertical bow, and a quick-release trolley system handles extra short pieces. We build it for shops that make rectangular duct with the flange formed on the duct wall itself (catalogue: TDF Flange Machine, TDF).

Where It Fits in Your Duct Line
Self-flanged duct needs notched sheet first. The Auto Duct Line with Notching and the Auto Duct Line with Notching & Cleat Forming perform all the notching required for self-flanged ducts. The TDF flange forming machine then rolls the flange on the edges. Once the duct is closed, the TDF Corner Machine inserts the corners automatically. Ducts built with separate slip-on flange profiles take the other route, and those profiles are cut on the Flange Cutting Machine. See the full sequence on the HVAC Duct Production Line page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which TDF flange sizes does the machine form?
It forms 20, 25, 30, 33 and 35 mm flange heights on self-flanged air ducts. All five are standard, and the machine adjusts between them automatically.
What does dual tooling mean?
One roller side forms the flange and the other side forms the connecting clips.
What sheet thickness can it handle?
0.50–1.20 mm, given for ST37 (S235JR) mild steel.
Can it process short duct pieces?
Yes. A quick-release trolley system is fitted for extra short pieces.
What does the sheet need before TDF flanging?
The notching for self-flanged duct. On EBR METAL lines this is done by the Auto Duct Line with Notching (ADF-N) or the Auto Duct Line with Notching & Cleat Forming (ADF-NC).
