The Auto Duct Line with 3-Coil Selector is an automatic duct line built for shops that switch between sheet thicknesses. Three coils of different thicknesses sit on the machine at the same time. To change material, you select another coil. The line takes sheet up to 1500 mm wide, and everything else follows our other auto duct lines: under PLC control it straightens the sheet, adds stiffening beads, cuts it and bends it into rectangular or square duct parts. A servo motor holds the dimensions. Drive comes from a hydraulic unit, so the line needs no compressed air (catalogue: Auto Duct Former 3 Selector, ADF-S3).

Where It Fits in Your Duct Line
The 3-coil auto duct line sits at the start of rectangular duct production. Coil comes off the decoiler. Finished parts move on to lock forming on the Pittsburgh Lock Former and seam closing on the Duct Seam Closer. What does the 3-coil selector do?
It lets you load three coils of different thicknesses on the line at once. To change thickness, you select another coil. There is no unloading and reloading.
How is it different from the Auto Duct Line Pro?
The ADF-S3 adds the 3-coil selector unit and takes 1500 mm wide sheet. The Auto Duct Line Pro has no selector and comes in two sheet widths, 1320 mm and 1520 mm. Thickness range (0.5–1.2 mm), minimum duct size (100 × 100 mm) and feeding speed (6 m/min) are the same on both.
How much duct can it produce in a day?
At a feeding speed of 6 m/min, a 250 × 250 mm duct takes about 1.10 minutes, which adds up to as much as 800 m² of duct in an 8-hour shift.
Does it need compressed air?
No. The line runs on its own hydraulic unit.
Can it notch for self-flanged duct?
No. Notching is done by the Auto Duct Line with Notching (ADF-N) and the Auto Duct Line with Notching & Cleat Forming (ADF-NC). Both also have the 3-coil selector.
